The Lead From The Ladder Philosophy

Leadership doesn't begin when you reach the top of the ladder. Leadership begins the moment someone is standing on the rung below you.

Part 01

The Rung You're On

Leadership doesn't begin when you reach the top of the ladder. Leadership begins the moment someone is standing on the rung below you.

Every one of us is somewhere on the ladder. Some are taking their very first step. Some are in the middle of the climb. Some have reached positions of tremendous influence. But no matter what rung you're standing on today, there is someone looking up to you, learning from you, following your example, or hoping you'll reach back and help them climb.

That makes you a leader.

Part 02

Leadership Doesn't Wait

Too many people tell themselves, 'I'll become a leader when I'm promoted. When I own the company. When I know enough. When I'm successful.' But leadership doesn't wait for a title.

Leadership begins with your character. It begins with your choices. It begins with how you treat people when no one is watching.

Part 03

The Higher You Climb

I've spent more than two decades working alongside laborers, salespeople, project managers, executives, and owners of companies generating hundreds of millions of dollars. I've learned something that surprised me: the higher someone climbs, the more they need leadership themselves.

I've watched owners of nine-figure companies struggle with loneliness. I've seen incredible business leaders lose their way because of pride. I've watched successful people battle addiction, broken families, fear, and a loss of purpose.

Money doesn't eliminate the need for leadership. Titles don't eliminate the need for accountability. Success doesn't eliminate the need for someone willing to say, 'I'm here to help.'

Part 04

Why This Exists

That's why this podcast exists. Not to celebrate people at the top. But to remind every one of us that we're still climbing.

And while we're climbing, we have a responsibility to reach down with one hand while continuing to climb with the other. Because leadership isn't about standing above people. It's about lifting people.

Part 05

Lead From Where You Are

No matter what rung you're standing on today... someone needs your example. Someone needs your encouragement. Someone needs your integrity. Someone needs your courage. Someone needs your story.

Lead from where you are. Lead with humility. Lead with service. Lead with character. Lead From The Ladder.

The Call

"Lead from where you are. Lead with humility. Lead with service. Lead with character. Lead From The Ladder."
